Hello! Feels good to be home from our little roadtrip with late night, early rising, holiday treat, sugar high, exhaustive and trying behaviour behind us (from all - including me).. slowly getting back into the groove of home life, savouring our last few days of calendar free time, polishing school shoes, preparing for our final term of the year.. yes - how DID that happen?!

With many thanks to great discussion and communication between this wonderful bloggy bunch, those pesky image problems have been solved (thanks Kirsty!). Turns out I had to get with the times and join Google+ to correct the problem. I feel so NOW. I have no idea how to use it but at least my photos are pretty again. Priorities, people. If you've been having trouble with your images uploading with weird colours/backgrounds, clarity issues and noise, then have a look here. Some genius at Google decided an auto enhance option would be grand. Well it's not.

Rectifying the image problem meant I could finally get the stills collection up for the latest monthly capture of BABY LOVE. So go and have a look. And if you missed it last week, you can watch the slideshow here.

Another month along in this beautiful journey I get to share in with my little sister. If you've missed part of the series you can read about our little project here.

This was definitely our favourite shoot so far.

Blogger seems to be throwing a tanty at the moment and turning all my photos to utter shite as they upload (I know I am not alone), so unfortunately I couldn't get a full stills post up last night before we hit the road this morning for a little road trip. When it's finished having its little outburst, there will definitely be a full stills collection.

These photos were taken just shy of one month ago. We just shot the fifth month instalment over the weekend. I've been a bad blogger indeed. And when I say that, I only feel bad for myself and my commitment to the project. I am happy to say there will be no repeat offence this month because I really can't wait to share the last session we have just done. A night shoot, something different. You can see a few preview shots over on my Facebook page. Shameless plugging, I know.

I've been wanting to get The Beatles in on a session for a while, this song in particular, but it just didn't seem to fit anyone else. It is so joyful, it makes me smile from start to finish. And so fitting after our first instalment back in the depths of winter.

hey baby

Most of you will know Lou. She's wonderfully talented with camera in hand, a beautiful and honest writer and all round ace person. And today? She's a mum of THREE. Baby boy made his way into the world yesterday and he's completely perfect and delicious, just like his big sisters.

Lou asked me to be part of her Hey Baby! series which documents the awkward/awesome/anticipating aspects associated with mama's growing belly and emotions, and baby boy's journey into the Buma clan. Week 36 and Lou was in fast forward as the family prepared for the early arrival of No. 3.

It was a bit of a mad rush to the end, between hospital visits and monitoring for Lou and far less impressive, yet equally necessary commitments at my end (relatively speaking of course, ahem).. but we made it to the Collingwood Children's Farm for some lunch and a wander with the smalls so that another week's growth and count down to baby's birth could be remembered in frames. A freezing, windy morning turned into a beautiful, bright afternoon with the sun ducking in and out of the clouds.

This was the first proper time I had met Lou - in the flesh (the first real time was when we randomly ran into each other in the city last month). Like many a blogger, I felt I already knew her so well because of her open and honest personality. I've watched her for a long while professionally, and she has sat high on my list of favourite photographers since I found her. Now she was asking me to photograph her. I was a little overwhelmed with it all if I'm being honest. Photographing someone who - and whose work - I admire and respect so much. On the back of a hectic and exhausting month, my head was a bit all over the place. Thankfully my desire to please was lurking somewhere at the back of my messy head.. and was relieved to hear Lou critique her Week 36 frames as BEAUTIFUL (yes, she used CAPS - yes, I may have high fived myself). Thankyou Lou - thankyou for asking me to be a part of such a special project.

What a sweet trio these girls make. Jake must be over the moon he's got a little bit more testosterone in the house now.. albeit in it's teeny tiny form.
