fun + flattery

The last two days have been spent with friends, old and new. And it's been wonderful. Of course now, after two full days out and about, adventuring, late afternoon sleeps and subsequent late bedtimes, the wheels are beginning to fall off. We're having a home day and it was so nice to get out of bed this morning knowing we wouldn't have to leave the house. Technically we should be, but we're blowing off swimming lessons this afternoon because I can already see how that one's going to play out with exhausted, cranky children. I'll share more farm fun soon.

Last night in my sleepy couch haze, every attempt being made to stay awake through Rafters, I was flipping through my.. er.. flipboard and found something that made me wake up. I have long admired Greer, for her blog, her talent, her wit and humour, her parenting style, her photography. To see her place me in a pretty awesome line up was, well, awesome! Thanks Greer, you really were the chocolate on the cherry on the icing on the cake, that was already a superb day.

I'll be back later this evening with my second instalment of Ten on Ten.
