52 weeks of grateful :: play school

I am aware I am sucking badly with my gratefulness. Sorry Bron.

I have struggled a little the past few weeks. It may even be nearing months the more I think of it. Illness makes everything harder. Nothing deep going on here this week. This week (or last week) I am grateful for Play School. Oh, how I love it so. And I love that my little ones love it. Between Play School and Peppa, all is right with the world. Especially when my littles are filled with germs and have no energy for anything but lying in one spot.

When all is well and everyone is healthy, I don't like to have the tele on much. They get a little in the morning (yes, Play School of course) and a little while I am preparing dinner. Generally they are happy to occupy themselves between drawing, play doh, dress ups, puzzles, drawing, trains, trucks, drawing.. I am more lenient on weekends. But if back to back episodes of Play School or Peppa are what makes them happy when their little bodies are fighting for their health, I am happy to concede defeat.

Head over to Kidspot Village Voices to see some deeper gratefulness.

  1. Play school is one of the only shows my little one watches (is allowed to watch) and the minute it comes on she is glued to the one spot and giggles and jumps up and down. All the while looking back at me with a look of "are you seeing this mum? this is f**king awesome!!!"

  3. Play School is the greatest. I'm like you with the TV, and I've been totally hopeless at my gratefuls. I just recently pulled out Justine's album. Song's to make you smile. It's a nice one to sing along to, and is not totally annoying. I really hope you are all better soon. xx

  4. Oh yes Tahnee, I am with you, Play School is magnificent. We have only recently come to really love it in our house, but it's a must every afternoon here now. I have lightened up on the Tv strictness a bit more now also. I don't mind a couple of shows in the afternoon, as long as they're educational... it makes preparing dinner SO much easier! Hope everyone is feeling tip top again soon xo
